This beautiful 1964 Corvair Monza Convertible is owned by Corsa of Baltimore's Web Master, Rob Szymanski.
It was purchased some 3 years ago from fellow Corsa of Baltimore club member, Joe Rizzutto. It ran, but was otherwise a complete basket case! No top, no interior and lost of rust! Rob did the entire restoration by himself in his back yard! He did let Merchant's Tire mount the tires, but he bolted them up!
The original tired 110 power plant was replaced with this much reworked an updated 1960 engine. That's right, believe it or not, this sweet running motor is a '60!
You'd never know it to see it now, but the entire trunk of this car was once completely rusted out!
This car features many subtle custom touches. Like home made door panels that appear completely stock.
In fact,
the entire interior is hand made. Note the trick looking Renault LeCar buckets and shoulder belts. Those headrest anchors are actually muffler clamps!
